BIRDS’ NESTS AND WOVEN WONDERS-INTRODUCTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL SCULPTURE

Nature creates sculptures in many shapes and forms using various media.  Birds are among the most artistic architects.  This introductory open-air workshop uses natural materials and allows students to create woven art inspired by bird nests and our relationship to home and a celebration of Spring.

STICKS, STONES AND SIMPLICITY-INTRODUCTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL ART

To highlight Earth Day, the best way to interpret nature through art is to use nature as art.  In this open-air workshop, students will design and create an art project using environmental materials found in the gardens at Sunnylands.
